Several years ago I visited the old Argosy in Sioux City, IA. boarding is possible on any of the 4 floors, and the ramp angle can be adjusted.
This boat has a floating adjustable walkway between the mainland and the casino. That's many feet over the level of the roadway, which is itself a good distance over the usual water level. This time, the water is all the way back/up to the hotel and at the level of the first floor of the building (borderline getting inside). That happens once every few years, depending on what the CoE does with the river. Usually they close when the road is flooded.
